DATE: 5th - 7th Century AD
DIMENSIONS: 1.2 cm (0.47 in.) wide, 1.3 cm (0.51 in.) tall
DESCRIPTION: Intact. A well preserved early Byzantine bead, formed of very dark blue or purple glass, appearing black, the ends neatly ground down and polished in the flame, decorated across the center of the body with a single fine undulating thread of yellow glass, and at the ends with thick trails of yellow glass. Wearable.
