Iberian-Celtic Bronze Fibula
CULTURE / REGION OF ORIGIN:  Pre-Roman to Early Roman Spain.
DATE: 3rd – 1st Century BCE.
DIMENSIONS: 3.9 cm long (1.5 in.), 2.5 cm tall (1.0 in.)


DESCRIPTION: Intact. A one-piece La Tene I brooch (fibula) with the pin frozen in the closed position, the bow continuing beyond the catch plate and curving around to a turned back foot with large acorn-shaped knob. Excellent glossy dark green patina.

PROVENANCE: Ex California private collection.
