DESCRIPTION: Intact. A Roman bronze "knee" fibula. The surfaces are dark green. The coiled spring is fitted through a small vertical plate projecting down from a rather small fan shaped cover. The catchplate drops down from the bow, which features a simple "knee" and small fan shaped foot. A tiny knick to one side and a few tiny areas of exposed metal showing through.
PROVENANCE: Ex Surrey, UK private collection. Metal detecting find declared not treasure and cleared for export.
